IPTV on Roku requires a supported Roku app or a documented casting route. Roku uses its own platform, so an Android APK intended for Fire OS or Android TV cannot be installed as a normal Roku app.

Choose a supported app for IPTV on Roku

  1. Search the Streaming Store for the exact player recommended by your provider.
  2. Check its publisher, regional availability and supported account format.
  3. Install it through Roku and follow the player’s login instructions.

If the app is absent, a Downloader code for an Android app will not make it compatible with Roku.

Casting and screen mirroring

Casting works only when the mobile app and Roku app support the same casting route. Screen mirroring reproduces a compatible device’s display and normally requires that device to remain active. Availability depends on both devices and the app; protected video may not mirror.

See Reference: Roku casting guidance.

When an external player makes sense

If your chosen service supports only Android apps, a compatible external device on another HDMI input may be simpler. Check the app and operating system before buying hardware. Our FastMedia app guide identifies the supplied Android player links.
