Incorrect MAG box date and time can make programme listings confusing and affect scheduled actions. Check the device clock before changing every channel’s guide settings.
Check MAG box date and time
- Confirm that the box is connected to the internet.
- Check the displayed date, local time and time zone.
- On supported Linux MAG firmware, inspect the NTP server under System settings → Servers → General.
- Use the manufacturer’s or operator’s recommended time server, save and restart the portal if required.
Infomir’s FAQ gives pool.ntp.org as an example time server. The time zone remains a separate setting; a reachable time server alone does not select your local zone.
If only the programme guide is wrong
When the device clock is correct but one channel’s programme schedule is shifted, the problem may be the provider’s EPG data or its offset. Report the channel, displayed programme and expected local time.
A factory reset is usually an unnecessarily broad first step for a clock problem. Record the current setting before making a change so you can restore it.
