Plex on Fire TV can play personal media and content available through Plex. Installing it does not automatically import a provider IPTV playlist or activate an unrelated streaming account.
Install Plex on Fire TV from the store
- On a compatible Fire TV, find Plex in the Amazon Appstore. On Android TV or Google TV, use Google Play.
- Confirm the publisher, install and open the app.
- Select sign in and follow the account-linking instructions displayed on your TV.
A normal store installation does not require enabling installation from unknown sources.
Link your Plex account
TV apps commonly display a four-character code. Open Plex’s account-link page on your own phone or computer, check that you are signed into the intended account, then enter the code. Never share a live linking code in comments.
Find your personal library
Your Plex Media Server must be running and your account must have access to it. Test on the same home network first. Remote playback and premium features may have separate requirements or charges; check current Plex terms.
If you meant an IPTV player
Plex is not a direct substitute for every M3U or server-login app. For a streaming account supplied with SkyGlass or Fast Player, follow the FastMedia app guide instead.
