Your MAG box MAC address identifies a network interface. Some portal services use a device identifier during account registration, so entering the wrong one can prevent access even when the portal URL is correct.

Find the MAG box MAC address

On supported Linux MAG models, open System settings and inspect Device info or Network info. A label on the box may also show an address. Use the identifier your provider specifically requests.

Ethernet and Wi-Fi interfaces can have different addresses. A serial number, IP address and MAC address are different values; do not substitute one for another.

Register a replacement box

When changing hardware, ask support to update the account’s registered device. Copy the displayed value carefully and identify which old device is being replaced. Do not copy another customer’s identifier.

Keep account details private

Send registration details through your provider’s private support channel. A MAC address is not a substitute for secure authentication and should not be treated as proof that someone owns an account.

After registration, follow the portal setup steps and test access.
